Airtel and Google going to launch the cheapest 4G smartphone, know the price

Airtel is launching low cost 4G handsets with Android Oreo 'Go'. Under the "My First Smartphone" program of Airtel, entry-level 4G smartphones will be launched with the Android Oreo (Go) OSO, starting from March 2018.


For more Indians keep online, Google and telecom services provider Bharti Airtel has announced on Tuesday that they are working to offer low-cost smartphone powered by Android in the domestic market Oreo (Gold Edition).

With this, India will become one of the first countries for the commercially roll-out smartphone running Android OSO (Go) operating system (OS).

This is a significant milestone for the journey of 'my first smartphone'. Bharti Airtel's chief marketing officer, says Venkatesh said in a statement, "We are Google and excited to collaborate with our device partners to work to bring smartphone budget of more people."

"Through the launch of a range of devices powered by Android's mission has always been to bring computing power to everyone. Android Oreo (Go) we see that Airtel has played a leading role in this effort," John Gold says, Global Director is Android Partner on Google.

Android Orio (GO) is essentially 1 GB is composed of entry-level Android smartphone with RAM and therefore less runs too smoothly in spite of storage space, use less memory.

Originally announced at the Google I / O 2017 Annual Developer Conference, the OS is a toned-down version of the latest Android Oreo OS that is currently present in high-end devices.

As part of the "My Pehla Smartphone" program, Airtel has partnered with several mobile handset manufacturers to build an "open ecosystem" of affordable 4G smartphones.

The price of this smartphone is not yet fixed. However its price is likely to be in the range of 1000 rupees. At present the price has not been officially confirmed.-
