3. Another option is to send email the Whats App team. If you go for this option, include "lost / steal: deactivate my account" along with your phone number, include this phrase in the body of the email "Enter the description of the mobile with your country code. Remember to write the number correctly because you saved it on your smartphone.
4. You should schedule backup on Google Drive. You have to just use same Gmail ID on new phone too. First sign in with gmail in smartphone then install whatsapp. After verification of mobile in Whats App, it will ask for data restore from Google Drive. Allow for restore your chat history and media from old lost or stolen phone. It will take some times as per your data size. Now your all data will be recovered.
One more thing to note here is that WhatsApp can be used on Wi-Fi, even if the SIM card is not insert inside the handset, therefore, contact the WhatsApp team and make sure to disable your account. Since it is not possible to disable whatsapp from any other device.
