Trending towards Single SIM
In the report published in the Economic Times, analysts and officials of telecom sector have been told that after coming into Reliance Jio's market, users were preferring to use two SIMs. To save user base, Airtel, Vodafone Idea has launched cheap plans like Jio. The result will be that the user will not be able to use two or three sim instead of one operator, the rest will speak bye-bye.
1.2 billion subscribers end in August
At the end of August, the total number of mobile subscribers in the country was 1.2 billion. The number of subscribers using single SIM in the country is about 7.5 crore. The rest of the users are using two or more SIM cards.
Airtel and Vodafone Idea launches cheap plans
In the past, Airtel and Vodafone Idea have decided to discontinue incoming calls from customers who do not recharging regularly. Both companies have offered a minimum recharge plan of Rs. 35, Rs. 65 and Rs. 95 for 28 days of validity. Their minimum recharge plan allows Jio to run a plan of Rs 49. Such a user will have to stay with one of the subscribers.
